  26. Amiga IFFs are lossless.  The compression is run-length encoded, which 
  27. just means it find similar bits in a file and, instead of storing (ie) 
  28. "11111111111111111111", it just stores something like "20 1s".

  30. Anyway, IFFs aren't lossly.  Until HQ-8 is possible, Flyer Clips ARE 
  31. lossy.  Thing is that for S-VHS or so, Standard mode has no apparent loss 
  32. (but I still use HQ-5 anyway).  For Betacam, HQ-5 is recommend (so I hear 
  33. -- I don't go that high).

  35. I don't know what you mean by "generation".  I assume that you mean going 
  36. to tape, but I don't see how that fits here...
